Completely by my own agency, I wanted to combine the exploration of Carhartt's ideas around work with my fascination with mobility and sustainable furniture. The object was to design a piece of furniture that felt true to Carhartt's core values while exploring ideas that the brand hasn't before. The result of this ideation was a modular seating set that could be stored & assembled easily without tools.
The assembly of this chair is what makes it fill a unique role in its user's life. The lack of tools needed, simple steps, and under a minute in total time takes this process from being assemblage to an interaction that can be had multiple times a day.
